Gemma Riste - Proprietor - The Beauty Lounge

Gemma started out her career in 2002 as a Nail Technician, completing the ‘All Aspects’ course with the Nail Systems International. She then proceeded to practice and perfect her skills, through research, testing and trialling of different brands. In 2012 Gemma completed the CND Conversion course; which allowed her to use the Nail Industry Leaders products. Following this she went on to complete Skill Building and Nail Artistry classes qualifying with Master status.

In 2012 Gemma started to develop her service portfolio further, it was here that her passion for eyebrows began to grow.

The summer of 2013 saw a move to Germany where Gemma made the decision to convert her home cellar into a small beauty salon, and offer services such as Nails, Tanning, and Waxing, to the British forces community. On closure of the camp in 2015 she returned to the UK and rented space within a hair salon, whilst looking for a viable premises to give The Beauty Lounge its long awaited home and begin building vision she had for the brand.

Continuous training, development and staying current with the latest trends, services and products is of the utmost importance in being able to provide a professional and superior service. Gemma does this in order to exceed expectations and improve her qualifications and professional service. In early 2017 Gemma started her path in Permanent Make Up, and now provides services such as Microblading, Powder Brows, Lash Enhancement Eyeliner and Lip Blush tattoos.

An unerring commitment to spending time practicing and researching ensures only the highest quality of service in all areas of her nail, tanning, beauty, and aesthetic treatments is passed onto her clients. Her commitment was recognised nationally with Gemma winning the nomination 'National Brow Specialist of the Year' in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022; a title she will be working hard to retain for many years to come.

Gemma is the driving force behind The Beauty Lounge and ensures that the therapists working within the salon are highly educated, qualified, insured, highly passionate and the best in their field. The Beauty Lounge has received national recognition for the efforts of the whole team having been finalists for the 'Excellence in Customer Services' and 'Best New Business' awards in 2019 and winning the 'Best Workplace Environment' award in 2020. The Beauty Lounge has a successful and sought after team that boasts an existing client base spread across the south of England with a constantly growing and expanding local presence.

The Beauty Lounge is extremely fortunate to host Laura's Facial Aesthetic Clinics. Laura is not only a highly qualified medical professional, she is knowledgable and the products used are of the highest quality. Laura is attentive and really cares for her patients, and is an accredited member of the Save Face organisation for registered, safe practitioners. She works very closely with each individual offering impeccable treatments tailored specifically to the individual each and every time.

Summer - Self Employed - Beauty by Summer

Summer has been a valued member of the team for over 2 years, she he completed her work experience placement with us whilst studying her Level 2, it was a no brainer to keep her whilst she completed her Level 3 course. Summer has a real natural talent and has used her time within the salon to educate herself and grow as a therapist.
Summer is a real perfectionist and offers and array of treatments such as Acrylic nails, Gel Polish, Brow services including waxing, tinting and Lamination, Make Up, Lash Lifts and has recently qualified in Classic Lash Extensions.

I am so excited to see what the future holds for this very talented therapist.

Courtney - Self Employed - Hair & Beauty by Courtney

Originally joining the team at The Beauty Bar 2 years ago, Courtney has become a massive asset to us. Following on from her career in hairdressing, she developed a real interest in beauty. Courtney is continuously learning and practicing her skill set in order to provide you with the best treatments. She currently offers services such as Lash Lift & Tint, Brow Lamination, Brow wax & Tinting, Gel Polish and Acrylic Nails

Georgia - Self Employed - Beauty by Georgia

Georgia is our newest member of the team. Having worked in a previous salon she decided that she wanted to challenge herself and set up as a self employed therapist. Georgia is Level 3 trained and offers everything beauty including, but not limited to; Gel polish, Massage, Lash Lift & Tint, Waxing, Brow Wax & Tint, Microdermabrasion, Collagen Lift Treatments.
Georgia likes to learn new skill and has a real passion for all things beauty, so I am excited to see what comes next.

Faith - Social Media and Beauty

Faith is currently studying BTEC Business and A-Level Psychology at Salisbury Sixth Form College. Faith's business background started a young age in 2017 when the salon first opened. She has a keen eye for marketing and whilst helping with this developed an interest in carrying out treatments. She successfully completed her Gel Polish course which led her to wanting to further her career in the beauty industry so went on to complete a Brow Lamination and Lash Lift & Tint course. We are excited to see what the future brings.
